Shoshone Rapids
Located in spectacular Glenwood Canyon, this beautiful stretch of water offers unbelievable Rocky Mountain scenery and a perfect mix of calm water and whitewater. This trip includes Class II-IV whitewater and requires no previous rafting experience.
The first 2 miles — The Shoshone Section — offers the whitewater enthusiast exciting but not intimidating Class III-IV rapids. These first two miles, about 20 minutes, requires rafters to be over 16 years old (possibly younger ages depending on water levels).
For anyone under the age minimum, but at least 30 pounds, or those who would rather sit out the bigger rapids can join the trip at Grizzly Creek. All the rafts pull over after the Shoshone Section, at Grizzly Creek, and those who skipped the first 20 minutes can join the trip for the remaining 2 hours of Class II. This decision doesn’t need to be made at the time of booking, we will help you decide on the day of your trip.
