Where is Bair Ranch located?

Bair Ranch is located in Glenwood Canyon, just 15 minutes east of Glenwood Springs, and approximately 35 minutes from the Vail Valley. You’ll exit at Interstate 70, Exit 129 (Bair Ranch Exit) and follow signage into the ranch. When you make a reservation for an adventure at the ranch a gate code will be provided to enter. There is no access without a reservation!


What should I wear for horseback riding?

Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes (preferably boots or sneakers). Bring a hat, sunglasses, and layers, weather can change quickly in the canyon. Helmets are provided and required for guests under 18.


What should I bring for off-road UTV tours?

We recommend sunglasses, bandanas or buffs for dust, and clothes you don’t mind getting dusty. Closed-toe shoes are required, and we’ll provide helmets and goggles. Bring a camera,views from the ranch are unforgettable!


Are there age restrictions for the sporting clays experience?

Yes. Guests must be at least 13 years old to participate in horseback riding. and those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All safety gear and instruction are included, and no experience is necessary.


Is there water and shade on the ranch?

Yes. We have shaded areas, and water for sale at our base areas. We encourage guests to bring reusable water bottles and stay hydrated, especially during summer months.


Can we bring our own food or drinks?

Yes, small coolers and snacks are welcome. For private groups or longer visits, we also offer Cowboy Cookouts and catered picnic options, ask us about adding a meal to your adventure!


Are there bathrooms on-site?

Yes, we have some basic restroom facilities and portable toilets conveniently located near activity staging areas.


Will we see wildlife?

Possibly! Bair Ranch is part of a private conservation area that’s home to bear, elk, deer, bighorn sheep, and more. While sightings are not guaranteed, your guides are experts at spotting wildlife safely and respectfully.


What’s your cancellation policy?

We offer a 48-hour cancellation window for most adventures. If weather forces us to cancel, you’ll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.


Can we bring our dog?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed on adventures due to safety and wildlife concerns. Please plan accordingly and do not leave pets in your vehicle.


What if the weather looks bad?

Our adventures run rain or shine, but we always prioritize guest safety. If severe weather is expected, we may delay, modify, or cancel the experience. You’ll be notified as early as possible.


Do you offer photos or souvenirs?

Our guides often take photos on select adventures, and we’re happy to snap a few for you. We also have Adventure Outdoors merchandise available at the ranch store!
