Downhill All the Way

Ride the Trail. Skip the Climb.

Let gravity do the work while you soak in the views on our Bike Shuttle into Glenwood Canyon. This one-way service drops you and your bike at the top of the Glenwood Canyon Recreation Trail, a paved, 16-mile stretch that winds along the Colorado River through soaring canyon walls, lush cottonwoods, and riverside rest stops. Our Bike shop is located at 206 6th downtown Glenwood Springs, next to Gearhead Outfitters and Hotel Colorado.

After drop-off, you’ll enjoy a mostly downhill, car-free ride back into Glenwood Springs at your own pace. Whether you’re a leisure rider or a photography lover, this route offers something for everyone, quiet natural beauty, interpretive signs, shaded picnic areas, and even spots to dip your toes in the river.

It’s the perfect adventure for families, couples, solo riders, or anyone looking for a scenic and easygoing way to experience one of Colorado’s most beautiful corridors, without the uphill grind.

Want to ride Glenwood Canyon without worrying about pedaling uphill or arranging your own logistics? Our Bike Shuttle makes it simple. We’ll transport you and your bike to the upper trailhead near Dotsero or Bair Ranch (depending on river conditions and trail access), so all you have to do is enjoy the mostly downhill, 16-mile paved path back to Glenwood Springs.

As you coast through this dramatic canyon carved by the Colorado River, you’ll pass waterfalls, sheer rock walls, and riverside rest stops—plus multiple pull-offs perfect for snacks, photos, or even a quick dip in the water. Whether you’re riding solo, with the family, or in a group, this is one of the most scenic and relaxing bike rides in the state.

The shuttle is great for guests of all ages and fitness levels—and it’s one of the best half-day adventures in Glenwood Springs.

How long is the ride back?

Most riders take 2.5 hours depending on stops and pace. The trail is mostly downhill with minimal incline.

Can I bring my own bike?

Absolutely! Our shuttle supports both rental bikes and personal bikes in good working order.

Where does the shuttle drop off?

Typically Bair Ranch, depending on access and trail conditions. We’ll confirm location at check-in.

Is this kid-friendly?

Yes! Great for kids who can ride independently. We also have trailers and tag-alongs available with rental bikes.

What if I get a flat tire or need help on the trail?

We provide a basic repair kit and will go over a support plan during your trip briefing. For serious issues, call our support line.

Can I pair this with a rafting or cookout experience?

Definitely—ask us about combo packages or make a full day of it with rafting in the morning and biking in the afternoon.
