2 Hour Horseback Ride

More Trail, More Views, More Colorado
For guests looking to go beyond the one hour basic ride, our Two-Hour Horseback Ride at Bair Ranch is the perfect fit. This extended trail ride takes you deeper into our private canyon lands, offering more terrain, more variety, and more time to connect with your horse and the landscape. It’s ideal for guests who want to soak up the scenery, escape the crowds, and enjoy a more immersive Western riding experience. Within minutes from Glenwood Springs and a short drive from Vail and Beaver Creek.
Your ride begins at our base in historic Glenwood Canyon, where you’ll be paired with one of our calm, sure-footed horses. After a warm-up along the lower meadows, you’ll venture higher into aspen-lined trails, sagebrush plateaus, and rocky overlooks that reveal some of the most panoramic views in the region. Along the way, your guide will point out local wildlife, native plants, and share stories from the ranch’s 100+ years of Colorado cowboy history.
The ride moves at a relaxed walking pace, with plenty of time for photos, questions, and unforgettable views all while enjoying the quiet serenity of over 6,000 acres of private ranchland. This is one of the most scenic and rewarding horseback rides in western Colorado, and space is limited to keep it special. If you’re looking for something beyond the ordinary more trail, more tranquility, more Colorado the two-hour ride is for you.

Guide Tip
Zoe
River Guide
"Our horses are well-trained and experienced on the trail. Think of them as your four-legged tour guides. Let them do their thing while you stay relaxed, centered in the saddle, and focused on the ride—not controlling every step. The more confident and calm you are, the more comfortable your horse will be too"
